The fit-out of this bar was finished using recycled timber as feature walls and as part of the liquor display. We created an aged look, by carefully preparing the timber after being given a brief of the overall look the client was after.
The boards were originally painted and over 100 yrs old, with the imported vintage bricks used for the bar surround and feature column combining these 2 building materials. “It just works.“
We decided to use lightweight timber I beams for the suspended bulkheads, they gave us long spans while still providing the look of large beams.
